Gemco are extremely excited to announce that we are now members of the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA).

Following our most successful year ever in sales, our devotion to research & development in innovative products and solutions, and our dedication to education within the industry, joining the forces with the BCIA was a natural step and one that reflects our evolution and progression as a business.

Over the next 6 months there are going to be some extremely exciting announcements coming from the team here at Gemco IBG.  Whilst 2017 has been an incredible year for us, our ambitions only continue to grow, and moving forward we will be investing heavily into our strategic partnerships, innovative solution developments, and investment strategy which we believe will have important implications within the industry.

Gemco Intelligent Buildings Group has dared to reach out and touch places previously unexplored in our industry and because of this, we have created some amazing opportunities, acquired some outstanding recognition and built partnerships with global IoT partners.

As the summer draws to a close and we enter the final quarter, we reflect on the year so far and it really is hard to believe how much we have achieved in the last 9 months.  The BCIA will compliment our practice of continuous improvement (Kaizen philosophy) and will enhance our structured training regime.

But these achievements could not be possible without the core members of our team who really are creating brands for themselves within this micro-niche industry.  As well as further educating our people to develop and strengthen our own proposition, we are committed to our promise of educating the wider industry, through initiatives such as ‘Continued Professional Development’ (CPD), and maintaining a 100% transparent approach to business and knoweldge sharing with our clients.

What is Kaizen?

Kaizen is a philosophy and practice that sees improvement in productivity as a gradual and methodical process. Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning “continuous improvement.” The concept of kaizen encompasses a wide range of ideas. As well as product creation and service enhancements, it also involves making the work environment more efficient and effective by creating a team atmosphere, improving everyday procedures, ensuring employee satisfaction, and making a job more fulfilling, less tiring and safer.

The overall goal of kaizen is to make small changes over a period of time to create improvements within a company. That doesn’t mean alterations happen slowly, it just recognizes that small changes now can have huge impacts in the future. Improvements can come from any employee at any time. The idea is that everyone has a stake in the company’s success and everyone should strive, at all times, to help make the business model better.

This is what we wholeheartedly believe in at Gemco and the BCIA is another string to the bow as we develop great people, great products, great partnerships and most of all a truly great business.
